General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

On 25 May 2018 the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into force. This is being introduced to unify all EU member states’ approaches to data regulation, ensuring all data protection laws are applied identically in every country within the EU.

The Trustee of the Baxter Pension Plan holds certain personal information (known as ‘personal data’ about Scheme members and, where applicable, their dependants and beneficiaries). This allows the Trustee to properly administer the Scheme and calculate and pay benefits.

The Trustee take privacy very seriously and has reviewed how it collects, uses and shares personal data in light of the new regulations. As part of this review, the Trustee has created a new Privacy Notice so that members know exactly why they may be asked for a piece of information, how its looked after, and how having it helps the Trustee run the Scheme.
