Mark Godden
Trustee Director
Mark joined Baxter in April 1995 as Financial Controller located in the (now demolished) office in Stephenson Way, Thetford. In 1999, Mark relocated to Compton and was the Company Secretary for all the UK operating companies from 2001 to 2012. In 2012, during a re-organisation of the UK Finance function, Mark moved to a newly created European role supporting the Ethics & Compliance team.
Mark became a Trustee Director in October 2011 and the Chairman in October 2014. In September 2016, Mark’s European role in Baxter was moved to Ireland and he took early retirement.
Marks outside interests include his family including two grandchildren, sailing, and various church activities.

Matthew Owen
Trustee Director
Matt joined Baxter in 2008 as Contracts Manager, to lead the newly amalgamated One-Baxter Contacts Team. He then went on to hold the position of Business Services Manager, retaining responsibility for tenders and pricing, with the addition of other areas of support to the Sales and Marketing teams, such as CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and Sales Incentives. In January 2019, he was promoted to Head of Commercial Excellence UK and Ireland. Matt is a member of the UK and Ireland Senior Management Team, and represents Commercial Excellence on the Western Europe Leadership Team for the Clinical Nutrition Business Unit. He has been a Company Nominated Trustee Director since December 2017.
Outside of work, most time is spent with his young family, but he still manages the occasional DIY project.

Roy Arthurton
Trustee Director
Roy joined Baxter in 1969 as an analytical chemist, and shortly moved over to production eventually becoming production superintendent before transferring to finance. Roy left Baxter in 1984 to become Finance Director of an engineering company and a Trustee of their pension fund – he later retired from there in 2006 to carry on working as a self-employed accountant until 2013 when he fully retired.
Roy’s interests include real ale; keeping fit by walking, running and cycling; gardening; supporting Norwich City F.C.; and spending time in his holiday home in Spain.

Ian Smith
Trustee Director
Ian worked for Baxter for over 30 years in numerous roles in Supply Chain Planning, Process Improvement, and latterly was the global lead for the Rapid Response program. He is now Practice Director e2e Consulting at mSE solutions, a supply chain management consultancy headquartered in Munich, Germany.

Geoff Braham
Trustee Director
Geoff joined Baxter finance department in 1992 and was appointed Finance Director in 1996. Whilst working at Baxter, Geoff was the primary company contact for the Pension Plan so he has extensive historical experience. Since retiring in 2016, Geoff has taken on several trustee/non-executive roles and was pleased to be appointed as a Member-nominated Director.

If you need to get information about your pension, update your personal details or request further information about the Scheme then you should do this by contacting Isio who are the Scheme’s administrator.
You can however write to the Trustee Directors directly if you want to make a representation about a ruling. You must do this by writing to the Trustee care of the Secretary to the Trustee.
If you want to make a complaint then you must do this following the IDRP procedure and form set out by the Trustee – you can find these details in the documents section of the website.
